Job Title: Activity Assistant

About the Role:

The Activity Assistant is responsible for assisting the Activity Director in creating a vibrant and engaging social atmosphere within our community. This role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing activities and excursions that promote resident participation, independence, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of activity programs, including scheduling, promotion, and facilitation.
  • Collaborate with the Activity Director to ensure a high-quality and engaging social atmosphere.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Manage and schedule community volunteers to support activity programs.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
  • Operate community vehicles as needed.
  • Encourage teamwork and cooperation with colleagues and other departments.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
  • Current Class C driver's license, with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs.
  • Pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
