About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Image Acquisition and Quality Control
Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring that all images meet the required standards.
Patient Safety and Comfort
Ensure patient safety and comfort during MRI procedures, including proper positioning, contrast administration, and sedation as needed.
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Communication and Teamwork
Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality patient care.
Quality Improvement and Education
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educate colleagues on best practices and new technologies.
Requirements
Certification
ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI or ARRT registered in MRI or ARMRIT-American Registry of MRI certification.
Education
Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Skills
Basic computer skills, knowledge of office equipment, and proficiency in database management.
Work Environment
This role is based at Oconee Medical Campus, 1064 Oconee Memorial Hospital, and is part of the 10647123 Magnetic Resonance Imaging department.
