MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, achieving high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
- Screen patients and staff entering zone 3 and 4 to ensure magnet safety, adhering to Prisma Health's values of Inspire health, Serve with compassion, and Be the difference.
- Perform procedures proficiently, maintaining high-quality images, and striving for timely completion.
- Identify patients using two identifiers, communicate with patients and medical staff, and obtain completed questionnaires to ensure magnet safety.
- Prepare scan rooms, discard sharps, and maintain supplies and linen in accordance with approved protocols.
- Administer contrast materials as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol.
- Implement emergency procedures as needed and perform quality control tasks to ensure standards are met.
- Provide clinical instruction to staff technologists and students, and prepare staff schedules to ensure proper department staffing.
- Certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI, or equivalent.
- ARRT registration in Radiology and MRI, or equivalent.
- BLS certification.
