Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment, achieving high-quality images, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
- Screen patients and staff entering the MRI suite to ensure magnet safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff to obtain necessary clinical history and ensure safe imaging procedures.
- Prepare scan rooms for procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Administer contrast materials as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol.
- Implement emergency procedures as needed, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
- Perform quality control tasks to ensure equipment and procedures meet standards.
- Provide clinical instruction to staff technologists and students, as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT registered in Radiology & MRI, or ARRT registered in MRI, or ARMRIT certification.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
- Proficient computer skills (database).
- Data entry.
- Mathematical skills.
Work Environment
This is a day shift position at our Oconee Medical Campus.
