Automotive Repair Technician

The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on vehicles as directed by management, adhering to all established protocols and standards. This role may also involve conducting pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles to guarantee optimal functionality for customers.
Ideal CandidateThe successful applicant will possess a high school diploma or GED, complemented by some post-secondary automotive education and at least one year of experience in a dealership or large service facility. Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is preferred, or the candidate must be willing to pursue certification. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential, along with a proven track record of technical performance. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required, as well as strong time management abilities and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose vehicle issues utilizing experience, analysis, and testing methods.
- Conduct routine service inspections and perform standard maintenance tasks.
- Execute repairs on automobiles and light trucks as assigned.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness during service and repair operations.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and complies with industry regulations and standards.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Post-secondary automotive training or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a dealership or large facility is preferred.
- ASE certification is desirable, or the willingness to obtain it.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
- Must hold an unrestricted driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Basic computer and internet proficiency is necessary.
- Physical capability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as required.
