Position Requirements:

This is not an entry-level role. Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of mechanical or technical experience in a dealership or large independent shop, or relevant automotive school experience. ASE certifications are preferred. Applicants must be capable of operating a variety of vehicles, including both automatic and manual transmissions. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

Work Schedule: The required schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and identify necessary repairs on various vehicles.
  • Perform adjustments and calibrations, replenish fluids, and disassemble/reassemble vehicle components.
  • Repair or replace parts as needed.
  • Utilize independent judgment to make decisions and document all work according to manufacturer and company policies.
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of work and resolve any issues.

Physical Demands:

Work is conducted indoors in a shop environment. The role requires the use of mechanic's hand and power tools, which may produce significant vibration and force. Standing and walking are necessary for the entire work shift. Frequent physical activities include pushing, pulling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and kneeling to access all vehicle parts. Lifting and moving weights ranging from 20 to 100 pounds may be required occasionally.
