Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign and oversee daily tasks for yard employees
  • Assist yard employees in their daily duties and provide guidance as needed
  • Ensure the yard is in good working order and meets safety standards
  • Direct yard employees in daily operations and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
  • Attend weekly safety meetings and morning huddles to stay informed and address any concerns
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist with filling orders and loading trucks
  • Inspect equipment for damage and maintain a checklist of equipment status
  • Aid in identifying and communicating with the Yard Manager regarding TBR/DBR fleet
  • Maintain yard organization and cleanliness, and ensure safe work habits for all staff

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus 3+ years of experience in the construction industry
  • Experience in equipment shipping and receiving, with a clear understanding of equipment utilization and safety requirements
  • Personal and professional integrity, with demonstrated use of tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or more, and work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions

Physical Demands:
