Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Protection Operations Coach to join our team at Walmart. As a key member of our asset protection team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading and developing teams, and ensuring the safety and security of our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, assessing economic trends, and overseeing the stocking and rotation of merchandise.
  • Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, and providing feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, and ensure that customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring, training, and mentoring, and ensuring diversity and inclusion awareness.
  • Control the unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability by identifying and communicating performance goals and objectives, and building accountability for policies and procedures.
  • Monitor safety and risk controls within a facility, and ensure that an effective safety program is in place, including supervising safety team members and identifying accident trends to develop and implement solutions.
  • Manage facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, and claims and receiving procedures, including reviewing the application of policies, procedures, and operational controls, and identifying gaps in expectations versus training.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, including developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs.
Requirements
  • Completion of 2 years of college, or 1 year's experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment, or 1 year's experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment, or 2 years' experience in asset protection or related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection, including minimum age, specialized training, certification, and/or licensing.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or Certification in an asset protection related field, or General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing, or Investigative experience.
