As a DevOps Engineer at Dan Solutions, Inc, you will play a pivotal role in supporting government initiatives by engaging in the design, planning, construction, and execution of configurations within a laboratory setting prior to deployment in a live environment.


In this position, your daily responsibilities may encompass:

⦁ Collaborating with government representatives on Systems Engineering technical aspects and addressing associated challenges or conflicts; maintaining communication with other program personnel, government officials, and senior management.
⦁ Implementing cutting-edge methodologies for the design, development, modification, and troubleshooting of intricate computer operating hardware systems in a lab environment.
⦁ Crafting operating/hardware systems, tools, and infrastructure; defining system concepts and architecture, specific requirements, and developing strategies for implementation.
⦁ Grasping stakeholder needs and effectively communicating them to architects.
⦁ Exploring avenues to automate and enhance development and release workflows.
⦁ Architecting, constructing, and sustaining on-premise and/or cloud infrastructure to support team and client objectives.
⦁ Directing system development and implementation planning through the evaluation or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and testing plans.
⦁ Enhancing and maintaining existing infrastructure (including autoscaling, supporting new services, optimizing for cost efficiency/authentication/search, etc.).
⦁ Managing production, staging, and development environments.
⦁ Collaborating across functions with data scientists, analysts, project managers, and other engineers to develop applications and tackle complex challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS:

⦁ Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
⦁ Practical experience in:
o Developing REST endpoints
o Data modeling, SQL, and/or Python
o Redhat and/or Centos
o Automated server builds
o Ansible or Puppet
o Gitlab
o Deploying Docker engines in virtualized environments for containerization of multiple applications
o CI/CD automation
o Constructing and deploying data pipelines
o Adhering to best coding practices.

⦁ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
