Job Summary:
The Patient Services Coordinator will act as the primary liaison for all patients and the community.

This role involves receiving and processing patient referrals, managing patient registration, verifying personal information, collecting insurance documentation, and ensuring medical records are updated accurately and efficiently.

Additionally, the Patient Services Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling appointments, transcribing orders, discussing financial options with patients, and maintaining accurate medical records.


Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver exceptional communication and customer service by welcoming patients and the community with respect.
- Process admission documentation and perform basic insurance verification, ensuring correct patient identification for billing systems.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a friendly and supportive manner.
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain patient flow and promptly inform the Supervisor of any departmental or patient concerns.
- Coordinate and prioritize bed placement requirements to ensure timely and appropriate patient placement.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.


Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
Prior experience in healthcare or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Cadence, and Connect care is preferred but not required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and basic computer skills.
- Typing speed of 40 WPM with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with staff and patients in a professional manner.
- Basic mathematical skills.
