Job Summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Business Control Senior Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Compliance and Control department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing controls and solutions to support Surveillance, Employee Compliance, and Control Room teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement compliance controls to detect behaviors that may violate regulatory rules or internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Technology to improve compliance tools, platforms, and applications.
  • Conduct data analysis and respond to regulatory inquiries from major regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in ad-hoc requests, special projects, and regulatory exams.
  • Oversee the monitoring of adherence to ICRM Risk Policies and relevant procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain Compliance program-related materials.
  • Interact with global counterparts to ensure global consistency in control execution.
  • Assess risk and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Control Room experience.
  • Expertise in Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks, and typologies.
  • Ability to organize workflow, ideas, and materials.
  • Experience with drafting Business Requirement Documentation (BRD) and articulating business, compliance, and regulatory concepts to technology counterparts.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Advanced presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global partners.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with experience in compliance, legal, or other control-related functions in the financial services industry. Advanced degree is a plus.
