Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Vehicle Operations Specialist to join our team at Altair. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of vehicles through our facilities, maintaining quality standards, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Receive, inspect, and process incoming inventory, ensuring that all vehicles meet our quality standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control processes for delivery-ready vehicles, identify defects, and communicate with the service department to ensure timely repairs.
  • Key Management: Organize and maintain secure key management for vehicle inventory, ensuring that all keys are accounted for and easily accessible.
  • Lot Maintenance: Maintain the inventory lot, ensuring that there are safe and usable drive lanes at all times.
  • Vehicle Shuttling: Shuttling vehicles to and from secondary locations, including customer and fleet vehicles.
  • Supply Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of essential supplies, ensuring that our team has everything needed to perform their duties.
  • Customer Preparation: Prepare, inspect, and stage customer trade-ins for remarketing, ensuring that they are transported to the auction via carrier in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Audit and Compliance: Conduct various weekly, monthly, and quarterly audit processes to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with other teams, both on-site and remotely, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Professional Development: Participate in workshops and training sessions to improve quality and efficiency, with guidance from leads and managers.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computers and software, including Microsoft Office and internal business platforms.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Complete additional work and tasks as requested by the leadership team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customers on nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license in the state or province of residence, with the ability to drive and operate a vehicle.
  • Working Conditions: Willingness to work in various working conditions, including active service centers and unpredictable weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Multitasking: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on level of importance and urgency.
  • Operations Experience: Experience with operations, logistics, or lot management, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of these fields.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of computers and software, including Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internal business platforms.
