Manufacturing Controls Specialist

Location: Onsite – Scarborough, Maine
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Controls Engineer to join our team at Intellectt Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process development, equipment specification, and implementation, as well as experience with machine logic and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality
- Evaluate and troubleshoot machine logic and controls to identify areas for improvement
- Support on-site production and maintenance activities with advanced ladder logic troubleshooting abilities
- Design and implement new manufacturing equipment and controls systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain technical documents and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a GMP, FDA, ISO, and USDA regulated environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing automation technologies and architectures
- Ability to read and troubleshoot existing ladder logic
- Ability to generate new ladder logic for complex manufacturing tasks
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, motion control, robots, and vision systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a GMP, FDA, ISO, and USDA regulated environment
- Familiarity with cGMP and ISO 13485 regulations and practices
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software (Minitab)
