Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Job Summary:
Direct Mail of Maine is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance Team in various functions, including general bookkeeping, financial reporting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets to support billing and financial reporting.
  • Create customer invoices and process payments.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform daily transactions.
  • Assist in monthly closings and ensure all internal accounting controls are followed.
  • Generate reports and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to settle daily transaction activity.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable accounting/finance position.
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Understanding of GAAP and proficiency in QuickBooks software and MS Office suite.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Work Environment:
Office/Manufacturing/Warehouse. $27.00 / hour.
