Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team as a Limited Term Employee (LTE). This is a seasonal position that requires a strong commitment to providing emergency medical services and firefighting capabilities to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide advanced life support care to patients
  • Operate fire apparatus and equipment, including ambulances and fire trucks
  • Participate in drills and training exercises to maintain and improve skills
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and apparatus to ensure proper functioning
  • Collaborate with other emergency responders to provide effective and efficient emergency services
Requirements
  • State of Wisconsin Firefighter I certification
  • State of Wisconsin Paramedic certification
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS CPR certifications
  • ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, and NIMS 800 certifications
  • Ability to pass a department human performance evaluation
  • Valid and insurable driver's license
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of paramedic experience with a career/combination department
  • State of Wisconsin Firefighter II certification
  • Current NRP certification
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Resident of the City of Monona
