Job Summary

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. is a leading provider of emergency medical services and fire services. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic/Firefighter to join our team in Fox Lake.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care and transportation for patients at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within the scope of practice as stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance as needed.
  • Operate fire equipment and respond to fire-related emergencies.
  • Collaborate with other emergency responders to ensure effective and efficient response to emergencies.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Paramedic License
  • Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification
  • 1 year experience in emergency medical services or firefighting
  • CPR Certification
  • 21 Years of age
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License
  • ACLS (Metro will train)
  • PALS (Metro will train)
  • Successfully completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
