Position Details

  • Deliver comprehensive onsite installation, configuration, repair, maintenance, and support for state-owned workstations, laptops, thin client devices, desktop printers, network printers, network communication devices, video conferencing tools, software applications, and all related components, peripherals, and media.
  • Administer user accounts on local PCs, selected servers, and Active Directory in accordance with industry standards.
  • Utilize a tracking system to document ticket resolutions effectively.
  • Provide limited support for authorized mobile devices containing State proprietary data, ensuring proper configuration for work-related purposes.
  • Educate and assist end users on technical issues as a preventative maintenance measure.
  • In case of emergencies, implement appropriate actions to maintain operational continuity per documented and Department-approved plans.
  • Travel to various locations as necessary to fulfill assigned responsibilities.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and assist in resolving network issues related to end-user problems.
  • Restore data from backup systems using designated applications as required for end-user support.
  • Oversee all assigned issues managed by other internal IT units or external contractors.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree with 3 years of professional experience in lieu of degree, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong analytical skills, effective organizational abilities, and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Capability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred:
  • Advanced degree.
  • At least one year of professional experience with OTS information systems or programs utilized by the department.
  • One relevant industry certification or training, such as CompTIA, Microsoft, HP, Dell, Cisco, ITIL Foundation, Apple, or HDI-CS.
  • Professional experience with Windows-based operating systems, including installation, system administration, or troubleshooting.
  • Experience with various computer hardware, including PCs, laptops, printers, MFPs, routers, switches, or servers.
  • Experience with Remote Control software, Ticketing System software, Active Directory, Exchange, or SharePoint.
  • Professional customer service experience.
