About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our Ophthalmology team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care and service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage patient registration, scheduling, and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process payments and handle financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in ophthalmology, is preferred.
- Basic understanding of ICD-9 and CPT coding is a plus.
