Job Overview

Position ID: Tester 2

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Work Schedule: Flexibility required for first or second shift, including weekends. First shift operates from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, while second shift runs from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Role Summary:

This role is integral to the production department, focusing on the testing and troubleshooting of all Enterprise Lines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency with complex enterprise equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in testing various types of Static Switches, UPSs, RPPs, and PDUs.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting both high and low power systems.
  • Advanced knowledge in testing and diagnosing electronic components.
  • Experience with high power applications ranging from 600V to 208V in 3-phase systems.
  • Familiarity with PCBA programming.
  • Engagement in cross-functional teams.
  • Collaboration with Quality, Process, and Engineering departments.
  • Consistent maintenance of a safe and organized work environment.
  • Reporting issues related to schematics and drawings.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Close cooperation with production teams on manufacturing challenges.

Routine Duties:

Receives task assignments from supervisors but may initiate tasks independently. Regularly updates supervisors on progress and may have some management responsibilities, including decision-making and policy management with guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting electronics, particularly in high power systems.
  • 2+ years in a Test Lab or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical and electronic technologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation, including blueprints and schematics.
  • Competence in troubleshooting at the board level.
  • Proficient in setting up and utilizing electronic testing equipment.
  • Capable of constructing and maintaining testing apparatus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Experience with power meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Understanding of transformer voltage, current, and power calculations.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.
  • Must have expertise in Harness and Wiring.
