About the Role

We are seeking a part-time Certified Medical Technologist II to join our core lab department at West Chester Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will perform routine and complex laboratory analyses, identify and correct problems, and stay current in laboratory theory and technique.

Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory analyses and tests to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Identify and correct problems, developing alternatives when necessary
  • Stay current in laboratory theory and technique, participating in ongoing education and training
  • Assume responsibility for problem-solving and exercise independent judgment and interpretation
Requirements
  • Associate degree in a clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology
  • MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or MLT(ASCP) certification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of specimen requirements, laboratory terminology, and laboratory assay schedules
  • Ability to read and comprehend written information, and effectively and efficiently perform a variety of job duties in a stressful, fast-paced environment
