We are in search of a Construction Site Manager to oversee our federal operations primarily focused on facilities maintenance and improvement projects. Our team is recognized globally for its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, ensuring the effective management of mechanical systems and control systems at various installations.
As a member of the Fortune 500 company, Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS), you will play a crucial role in enhancing U.S. military installations and federal agency facilities, making them more efficient, sustainable, and secure.
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 based on experience
Benefits: Eligible for benefits from the first day of employment
Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year (totaling 6.5 weeks)
Travel Requirements: Limited; most work is conducted at the designated location.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the construction and maintenance processes of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications while maintaining quality and budget.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols in accordance with company and contract requirements.
- Conduct inspections and ensure adherence to safety regulations to prevent accidents and hazardous events.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure timely completion of their tasks.
- Develop and implement methods for construction and service requirements in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Coordinate the activities of employees and subcontractors effectively.
- Assist in quality control measures to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
- Plan and schedule work tasks, monitoring progress and updating schedules as necessary.
- Facilitate inspections, tests, and other contractual obligations with clients.
- Engage in regular project meetings with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and client representatives.
- Act as the primary on-site management representative to address and escalate issues as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required:
- Experience in project coordination, development, or supervision within the commercial or industrial construction sector.
- Knowledge of OSHA and USACE safety regulations.
- Experience managing technical teams in related trades.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective supervision and client interaction.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for assigned projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in creating site-specific safety plans.
- Knowledge of HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Automation Systems.
- Prior experience with federal government or Department of Defense projects.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
- Completion of a 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Class.
