Job Overview

Position Summary

The primary responsibilities include: 1) Guaranteeing that all outbound shipments are dispatched accurately and promptly. This encompasses customer order shipments, as well as outbound sample shipments and various freight and parcel packages. 2) Executing daily shipping operations, transactions, and documentation (utilizing SAGE X3 ERP and Customer Portal) with precision and timeliness. 3) Supervising and directing the Shipping team’s activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure the completion of all daily shipping tasks, which include:

  • Preparation of all necessary freight documentation.
  • Labeling of pallets.
  • Managing pallet pulls and put-away processes.
  • Maintaining communication via phone/email with customers, internal teams, and carriers.
  • Accurate and timely entry of shipment details into SAGE X3 and customer portals.
  • Overseeing the completion of all related shipping and inventory transactions daily.

· Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Sales departments to ensure the efficient and accurate shipment of customer orders following Quality release.

· Lead and manage the Shipping team to foster productivity and teamwork in fulfilling daily responsibilities; expected to resolve issues proactively.

· Ensure comprehensive training and development for all department associates to uphold quality, safety, and productivity standards.

· Work collaboratively with inter-department personnel to ensure the accurate and timely completion of daily tasks and transactions.

· Generate regular shipping reports for management and as requested by other departments.

· Adhere to the Company Employee Manual consistently.

· Hold department staff accountable for daily attendance in accordance with company policy.

· Monitor and report on daily departmental activities and metrics as defined by management.

· Report and comply with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

· Facilitate cross-training to ensure that at least two individuals are trained for each position to maintain operational continuity during absences.

· Collaborate with other departments to meet project goals and expectations.

· Maintain a safe and organized work environment by following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions.

· Lead and manage special projects as required.

Required Technical Skills

· Proficient in using scan guns.

· Experience with MRP/ERP software is highly preferred.

· Forklift certification is required.

Experience and Qualifications

· A bachelor's degree is preferred; relevant work experience may be considered at the discretion of upper management.

· Ability to comprehend and interpret formulas, procedures, and SOPs.

· Strong mathematical and computer skills.

· Excellent record-keeping abilities with a keen attention to detail.

· Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

· Complete additional duties as assigned by the Manager/Director.

· Ability to accurately convert between pounds and kilograms.

· Capable of managing multiple tasks effectively on a daily basis.

· Willingness to learn beyond basic responsibilities and assist others in the department with SOPs and Work Instructions.

· Ability to be trained in writing and implementing SOPs and Work Instructions for the department.

· Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

· Ability to perform physical activities such as balancing, climbing, standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling repeatedly.

· Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and maneuvering a 500-pound drum regularly.

· Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud environments, heavy machinery, fumes, or airborne particles.

· Prolonged use of computer screens and/or scan guns is required.
