Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team at GEODIS. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and storing materials in a safe and efficient manner
  • Conveying materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
  • Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence
  • Assembling customer orders from stock and placing on pallets or shelves, or conveying order to packing station or shipping department

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
  • Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience
  • Ability to perform operations using units of American currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
  • Ability to complete duties with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
  • Ability to use hands, sit, reach, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk or hear
  • Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to be exposed to non-climate-controlled environments
