Job Summary:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Obstetrician-Gynecologist to join our team in a clinical practice focused on the diagnosis and treatment of routine Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as disorders related to the female reproductive system.

The ideal candidate will participate in patient care and service needs of the division at the University of Wisconsin Health Clinics. Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient case management, gynecological surgery, and labor and delivery coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in patient care and service needs of the division
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient cases

  • Provide labor and delivery coverage
Research and Academic Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to lead research activities within the ASOG Division. Academic responsibilities may include developing an independently funded translational program focused on advancing the area of the incumbent's interests using a multifaceted approach incorporating groundbreaking foundational research and clinical excellence.

Protected time will be arranged for research activities. Additional academic responsibilities will include participation in teaching programs related to medical students, residents, and fellows, including responsibilities in the simulation lab developing advanced skills and metrics for residents as well as overseeing the training of residents in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient unit.

Administrative and Committee Work:

The chosen applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of the University of Wisconsin Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.

An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Teaching and Education:

The selected candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Terminal Degree (MD or DO)
License/Certification:
  • MD - Physician - State Licensure
  • Eligible for Wisconsin medical license
