Join Our Team as a Health Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Psychologist to join our team at UW Health East Madison Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services to adult outpatients focused on addressing behavioral and lifestyle changes that assist with weight management.
  • Conduct bariatric presurgical psychological evaluations, individual follow-up health psychology sessions, and facilitate group medical visits with program dietitians and advanced practice providers.
  • Collaborate with medical providers within the Medical and Surgical Weight Management program, including bariatricians and surgeons.
  • Consult with our multi-disciplinary bariatric team concerning surgical candidates and post-operative patients.

Requirements:
  • Minimum - Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or related field.
  • Minnimum - One (1) year of post-doc experience in the area of Behavioral Health in a medical setting.
  • Preferred - One (1) year of clinical experience or two (2) years of post-doctoral experience in the area of Health Psychology in a medical setting.
  • Minimum - Licensure or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
  • CPR/BLS.
