Job Description

As a key member of the CLC of Laurel LLC team, the Dietary Department Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the Dietary Department, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the work of dietary department employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the preparation and service of meals, ensuring that they meet the nutritional needs of residents.
  • Conduct regular inspections of food preparation and storage areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Collaborate with the dietary consultant to ensure that menus and department policies conform to national standards, government regulations, and internal procedures.
  • Review patient diet information and discuss requests, changes, and inconsistencies with patients, professional staff, and/or resident food committees.
  • Attend meetings with employees, administrative, and/or regulatory personnel to discuss regulations, procedures, grievances, and recommendations for improving food service.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain Serve Safe certification.
  • Ability to pass the Dietary Manager Course.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service focused.
  • Ability to multi-task while being detail-oriented.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Experience with Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
