Restaurant Assistant Manager Job Summary:
This role supports the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations and supervises the team in their absence. The Restaurant Assistant Manager leads and coaches Restaurant Team Members and collaborates with the management team to maintain Company and Brand operational standards, ensuring all guests have a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional guest service in a fast and friendly manner, coaching and correcting team members
- Conducts second interviews for team members and shift leaders
- Maintains a clean restaurant environment by cleaning and performing general housekeeping duties, assigning shift tasks to team members and ensuring completion
- Directs the team to ensure all food items are prepared and served according to Brand, Company, and health department regulations, coaching team members to follow guidelines for food preparation and production management
- Cascades relevant information to team members and assists with new product training
- Ensures product quality, food safety, and operational standards are met
- Monitors and ensures accuracy of all cash, sales, and inventory control records during the shift, completing end-of-shift and end-of-day paperwork and counts as required, communicating any discrepancies to the immediate supervisor
- In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, the Restaurant Assistant Manager completes daily, weekly, and end-of-period paperwork, inventory counts, cash counts, truck orders, and other administrative duties as required
- Guarantees a safe environment for team members and guests by following all government laws and safety codes
- Completes reports on all incidents following our 5-minute rule policy
- Partners with the Restaurant Manager to ensure all financial and operational metrics are met, resulting in a profitable restaurant

Requirements:
- Full-time position; availability during all hours of operation and at least one hour pre-opening and post-closing required
- Valid state Driver's License required
- Excellent communication skills

- Reaches, grasps, and manipulates objects with hands for the entire shift, including reaching for objects overhead
- Pushes, pulls, lifts, and carries up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50+ lb. occasionally, including lifting from ground to overhead
