Job Title: Recovery Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Support Specialist to join our team at Gandara Mental Health Center, Inc. As a key member of our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals in recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish open communication, support, and accountability among workers and consumers.
  • Maintain direct supportive contact with persons served to continually assess their individual needs.
  • Provide advocacy services, develop strong relationships, and promote a culture of recovery.
  • Collaborate with other social service agencies in the community to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Participate in training programs, research materials, and maintain current certifications.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with populations in recovery.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to structure and organize job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates good judgment and sound decision-making.
  • Works well as a team member and promotes a culture of recovery.
