Position Overview:

As a vital member of our Surgery and Anesthesia Division, you will serve as a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician specializing in anesthetic and sedated procedures. Ethos Veterinary Health is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled LVMT, CVT, LVT, RVT who can expertly manage the intricacies of anesthesia and sedation in a fast-paced environment.

Expected Work Schedule:
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • Rotating on-call duties
Compensation Structure:
  • $21 - $38 based on skills and experience
Training Requirements: Completion of anesthesia training through our institution, including passing both written and practical assessments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the intake of daily procedures and maintain client communication
  • Create customized anesthetic and sedative protocols for each patient
  • Accurately calculate and prepare medications for procedures
  • Conduct venipuncture and perform laboratory tests
  • Induce and maintain anesthesia while addressing any complications
  • Supervise anesthetic recovery and provide support in ICU care
  • Ensure a smooth workflow of cases throughout the day
  • Assist with various surgical tasks and support team members
  • Participate in anesthesia rotation and on-call responsibilities
Candidate Profile:
We seek individuals who exemplify commitment and excellence. Ideal candidates will possess:
  • A valid Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) certification
  • Proficiency in anesthetic monitoring, with a solid understanding of drug dosages and calculations; knowledge of radiographic techniques is advantageous
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating leadership and accountability for high-quality care and customer service
  • Flexibility, reliability, and strong attention to detail, coupled with effective time management skills
  • A commitment to maintaining a positive and respectful workplace culture, with a genuine passion for working alongside like-minded individuals
  • A proactive approach, taking initiative to contribute to the overall efficiency of the department
Qualifications:
  • LVMT, CVT, LVT, or RVT licensure
  • At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital setting
  • A comprehensive understanding of veterinary medicine and basic disease processes
  • A wide range of technical skills, including phlebotomy, catheterization, patient restraint, radiography, in-house laboratory work, pharmacology, and medication/fluid/oxygen administration
