Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Behavioral Support Technician (BST) is responsible for creating a secure and effective clinic-based educational atmosphere for children, aligning with the core values and mission of Behaven Kids.

Compensation Package:

  • Hourly rate: $29
  • Flexible scheduling with 30+ hours weekly, including options for morning and evening shifts, as well as weekend availability
  • Regular performance evaluations
  • Annual recertification costs covered
  • Paid training and examination fees for up to two attempts
  • Reimbursement for travel mileage when necessary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy to children with autism, utilizing discrete trial training to foster language, social skills, and self-care abilities.
  • Maintain a safe and structured educational setting.
  • Engage with children in a professional and encouraging manner.
  • Apply the Behaven Kids model of care and educational framework.
  • Execute treatment goals and objectives effectively.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of children's progress.
  • Communicate updates and concerns regarding treatment with parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum age of nineteen years.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to work in an active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (Required).
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician in good standing with the BACB (Preferred).
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a preschool or daycare environment (Required).
  • Associate degree in early childhood education or a related field (Preferred).
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with autism or other developmental challenges (Preferred).
