Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and train a team of service staff to provide prompt, courteous service to guests.
  • Conduct pre-meal meetings with service staff to review service protocol and ensure a smooth operation.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and comments regarding food and service, making adjustments as needed to maintain high standards.
  • Review reservations and VIP lists to ensure special attention is given to repeat guests.
  • Maintain the physical atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant, including uniforms, tabletops, and equipment.
  • Contribute to the profitability of the restaurant through cost control effectiveness and positive up-selling techniques.
  • Implement sales promotions and merchandising programs to drive revenue growth.
  • Be familiar with all beverage-related procedures and equipment, and assist the cashier as needed.
  • Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including emergency procedures and liquor liability laws.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous Restaurant Manager experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Understanding of financial statements and labor productivity.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a pleasant, positive personality.
  • Well-organized and efficient, with knowledge of Micros preferred.
  • Food Handlers and TIPS/Alcohol Safety certifications required prior to starting.
