La Taverne Restaurant Manager Job Summary

At The Broadmoor Hotel, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and creating a culture of family and community. As a La Taverne Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in upholding our reputation and providing an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Direct and establish daily operational procedures for La Taverne Restaurant, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality service.
  • Team Management: Manage outlet staff through daily line-ups, on-going training, maintaining team morale, and effective communication regarding policies and progressive discipline when necessary.
  • Scheduling and Staffing: Schedule team members to ensure correct staffing for service and profitability.
  • Food and Beverage Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food products and preparation, trends, wine, and beverages while abiding and enforcing Colorado liquor laws.
  • Training and Development: Assist with interviewing and training of new hires.
  • Financial Management: Assist with restaurant finances, including budgeting, inventory, and growth of revenue streams.
  • Quality and Service: Ensure the highest quality of food, beverages, and service are provided to our guests.
  • Maintenance and Sanitation: Oversee the required and necessary maintenance and sanitation programs.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Follow through on guest satisfaction and proper handling of guest comments.
  • Reservations and Events: Oversee reservations and volume of restaurant, coordinate with Conference and Sales departments in the planning and execution of private events.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Coordinate with Food and Beverage Public Relations and Marketing Manager to plan all marketing and promotional plans.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with the Restaurant Chef, and Stewarding team daily to assist in maintaining appropriate staffing and product levels.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Management experience, especially in a restaurant setting, preferred.
  • Driver's License: Valid U.S. Driver's License preferred.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs with assistance) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times is possible, not required.
