Role Summary

The Project Financial Controller will take charge of all elements related to project accounting and management, providing critical insights to facilitate strategic decision-making. This position calls for a meticulous and analytical individual with a comprehensive understanding of project accounting principles and practices within a service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the financial components of multiple projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor project expenditures and revenues, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and company policies.
  • Prepare and evaluate project profitability assessments.
  • Ensure project compliance with management protocols.
  • Collaborate with project managers to formulate and sustain project budgets.
  • Track project performance and engage with project managers regarding budget discrepancies.
  • Administer the billing process, including the preparation and dispatch of client invoices.
  • Monitor and reconcile project billings, collections, and accounts receivable, ensuring efficient working capital management.
  • Address client inquiries related to financial matters and billing.
  • Work closely with project managers, finance team members, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project management.
  • Lead the project accounting team, setting expectations and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and financial discipline within project teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in project accounting, ideally within the consulting sector.
  • Strong grasp of project accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g., ERP systems, accounting software).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in reporting and analysis.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
