Medical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at One Medical in Lakewood, CO. As a Float Medical Assistant, you will be an integral part of our primary care team, supporting a panel of patients with preventive, chronic, and acute care needs. Your strong communication skills and passion for human-centered care will make you an excellent fit for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Room patients, take vitals, and administer point-of-care testing to capture relevant information about their health and healthcare experience.
- Assist with coordinating post-visit care by scheduling appointments with specialists, coordinating referrals, and sharing information with the patient's internal and external care team.
- Collaborate with providers to monitor the health of a panel of patients and determine if they are up to date on preventive measures.
- Participate in daily operations, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and ensuring the upkeep of the clinical space.
- Provide patient education on chronic disease management and coach patients using an action-planning model based on motivational interviewing techniques.
- At least 1 year of experience in a high-touch customer service or patient-facing role in a healthcare setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven multi-disciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.
- Competitive salary: $23.00 to $28.00 per hour based on a standard full-time schedule.
