Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Assist with patient care tasks, such as drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, and performing routine tests.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, medications, and test results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Three months of previous experience in a healthcare setting required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Successful completion of an Accredited National Certification Exam for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- One year of Medical Assistant experience.
- Ability to see and read information, labels, and assess patient needs.
- Ability to hear and understand spoken information, alarms, and needs quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients.
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment.
