The OpportunityWe're seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in Lakewood, CO. As a Float Medical Assistant, you'll be an integral part of our primary care team, supporting a panel of patients with preventive, chronic, and acute care needs. Your primary responsibilities will include establishing trusting relationships with patients and their families, capturing relevant health information, and collaborating with providers to monitor patient health.
Key Responsibilities- Room patients, take vitals, and administer point-of-care testing
- Coordinate post-visit care, including scheduling appointments and sharing information with the patient's care team
- Collaborate with providers to monitor patient health and determine if patients are up to date on preventive measures
- Participate in daily operations, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining the clinical space
- Provide patient education on chronic disease management and coach patients using motivational interviewing techniques
- At least 1 year of experience in a high-touch customer service or patient-facing role in a healthcare setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven teams
- Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
