We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Swim Instructor/Lifeguard at Goldfish Swim School in Norwood, MA.

Job Summary:

The Swim Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality swim lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver one-on-one and group swim lessons to students based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Act as a liaison between parents/guardians and the swim school, keeping them informed of their child's progress.
  • Maintain a clean and organized pool area, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and secured.
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations, and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • As a Lifeguard, perform rescues and administer first aid/CPR when necessary.
  • Provide support to students and other instructors as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • 16 years or older
  • Ability to work with children of all ages and skill levels
  • No prior swim experience necessary, but a willingness to learn and grow is essential
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPR/AED or Lifeguard certification (training provided if not already certified)
  • Experience working with children, either as a lifeguard, youth sports instructor, camp counselor, or childcare provider
