Position Summary

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of this role is to assess financial data to provide the credit committee with sufficient insights to gauge the risk associated with extending credit. This process includes reviewing financial statements, addressing inquiries raised by financial analysis with lenders, and aiding in the preparation of loan presentations for committee evaluation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Utilizes analytical software to gather financial data that assists loan officers in assessing creditworthiness;
  • Develops comprehensive credit presentations alongside loan officers that effectively summarize credit details for the loan committee's review;
  • Analyzes economic trends within the industry to forecast the potential success of new or existing clients;
  • Conducts annual evaluations of commercial borrowers;
  • Contributes to the preparation and completion of monthly loan board reports;
  • Maintains a tracking database to ensure timely collection of customer financial information;
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
NOTE: This position may be located at various branches based on space availability.

  • Strong analytical abilities;

  • Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Capable of independent thinking and judgment to effectively plan and prioritize tasks;
  • Adept at identifying problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on accounting or finance; or three years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Prior experience in credit analysis is preferred.
