Role Description

The Service Team at Morris & Associates plays a crucial role in supporting our clients across diverse environments, including meat processing facilities, ice production plants, seafood ports, and nuclear power stations. This position requires a formal technical education and a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.

The Field Service Technician III is responsible for:

  • Executing installations, servicing, and performing intricate on-site repairs of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior field service representatives regarding equipment installation, operation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Responding promptly to emergency repair requests and performing installations and service as needed.
  • Working independently under defined objectives, escalating only exceptional cases to management.
  • Operating in various settings, including fieldwork, home office, or directly at client locations to deliver ongoing technical support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrate expertise in three-phase motor control systems.
  • Possess experience in refrigeration maintenance and troubleshooting, particularly with ammonia systems.
  • Exhibit welding skills in stainless steel and aluminum; pressure vessel certification is advantageous.
  • Effectively troubleshoot electrical and PLC control systems.
  • Safely replace mechanical and electrical components, including motors, starters, switches, solenoids, pumps, refrigeration valves, VFDs, and compressors.
  • Respond urgently to unplanned breakdowns.
  • Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction layouts.
  • Practice safe work habits consistently.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team player, demonstrating enthusiasm and pride in work.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Travel frequently as required to support clients.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, building trust and rapport.
  • Utilize computer and smartphone technology for reporting and documentation.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and support global clients.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a valid travel passport post-employment.
  • Manage teams or individuals to achieve objectives.
  • Transfer knowledge and train peers or clients on technical subjects.
  • Act as a liaison between teams, including management-level interactions.
Physical Requirements
