Position Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Summer Camp Program Supervisor to join our team. This role comes with a comprehensive benefits package for eligible staff, which includes:

Collaborate with the Education Manager to manage the daily operations and activities for children attending the camp.

Key Responsibilities

  • Primary Duties
  • Assist in organizing daily activities such as devotions, arts and crafts, and engaging programs
  • Provide oversight and general childcare support
  • Prepare weekly Devotional sessions
  • Implement disciplinary measures in accordance with the Camp Manual
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity spaces
  • Support in the development of camp training and curriculum
  • Help oversee the daily functions and programs of the camp
  • Facilitate weekly staff meetings
  • Serve as a Christian role model for both children and staff
  • Represent the spiritual mission and social objectives of The Salvation Army
  • Engage in spiritual discussions with participants
  • Complete the Camp Staff Orientation program
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as necessary

Qualifications

  • Educational Background
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience
  • At least six months of experience working with children
  • Background in Christian Education Programs is advantageous
  • Additional Requirements
  • Strong interest in working with children
  • Must be at least twenty-one years of age
