Job Summary

RAND Corporation is seeking highly motivated and talented graduate students to participate in its Summer Associate Program. As a Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on applied, policy-oriented research projects, collaborate with experienced researchers, and develop your skills in research design, data analysis, and communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on a wide range of domestic and international social policy issues, as well as national security problems
  • Collaborate with experienced researchers to design and implement research projects
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform policy decisions
  • Communicate research findings to stakeholders through reports, briefings, and presentations
  • Participate in seminars and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills
Requirements
  • Full-time doctoral students in psychology or related fields
  • Completed at least two years of graduate work leading to a doctorate degree
  • Within two years of completing the doctorate degree
  • Excellent analytic skills
  • Proven ability in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong commitment to RAND's core values of quality and objectivity
