Job Responsibilities

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be integral to the patient care team, responsible for executing critical care and diagnostic procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions across all age groups. Your duties will include:

  • Setting up and managing various respiratory care devices.
  • Conducting technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary function.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in airway management.
  • Assessing patients, interpreting diagnostic results, and recommending alternative treatment options.
  • Performing routine patient evaluations and recognizing respiratory issues.
  • Acting as a respiratory care protocol evaluator, administering therapy, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Collaborating with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient care strategies.
QualificationsExperience
  • Preferred experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Education
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification for NICU staff.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification for ICU staff.
