Key Responsibilities

In your role as the Lead Respiratory Care Specialist, you will oversee the daily clinical operations of the department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering Oxygen and Aerosol Therapy using various devices on a daily basis.
  • Conducting weekly Airway Pressure Therapy.
  • Instructing patients and setting up Incentive Breathing Devices daily.
  • Performing Chest Percussion and Postural Drainage techniques regularly.
  • Documenting all patient interactions and completing necessary records in the system efficiently.
  • Creating departmental schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of five years in a clinical Acute Care environment.
Education:
Associate Degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program or equivalent.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
