About The Equity Alliance:
The Equity Alliance (TEA) is a grassroots organization based in Tennessee, spearheaded by Black women. Our objective is to cultivate independent political and economic power within the Black community by educating and mobilizing its members. As a prominent entity in Tennessee, we confront inequities entrenched in systemic racism and uphold democratic values.

Position Overview:

  • Engage with constituents in selected neighborhoods through outreach initiatives and direct interactions.
  • Discuss pivotal issues with community members and share relatable experiences to foster connections.
  • Document insights from discussions and nurture relationships within diverse populations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Commitment to the mission and values of TEA.
  • Previous experience in outreach or community engagement is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate key issues effectively.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Familiarity with the community dynamics in targeted areas.

Contract Details:
This is a part-time role requiring up to 20 hours per week. A virtual orientation is mandatory to commence work. Most activities will take place during weekends and weekday evenings.
