EVENT TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST | HOSPITALITY
Mills James is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Event Technology Specialist to enhance our expanding Hospitality AV team. This role primarily focuses on facilitating live events and conferences at various venues. The selected candidate will report directly to the Audiovisual Event Production Manager.

LOCATION
Cleveland, Ohio

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To excel in this position, an Event Technology Specialist must effectively manage a variety of essential tasks.

Engage with onsite venue personnel to optimize our service delivery and exceed client expectations with a positive demeanor.
Oversee the daily setup and dismantling of audiovisual equipment for events and meetings.
Conduct routine maintenance on AV systems and ensure proper inventory management.
Communicate equipment maintenance requirements to the Mills James Warehouse Logistics Manager.
Assist in training and mentoring fellow AV technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS
The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role.

Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance in a high-service hospitality environment.
Possess foundational knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and computing for event and meeting applications.
Understanding of signal flow is essential; experience in IT or video conferencing is advantageous.
Demonstrated excellent client service skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and proficient troubleshooting skills are crucial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary, with the ability to operate box trucks and cargo vans.
Availability for early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends is expected.
Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience in the audiovisual sector.
