This position necessitates the ability to work six days a week, typically from Monday to Saturday.

Role Summary:
EPI Power is seeking a qualified Electrical Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. This vital position is responsible for ensuring that construction activities comply with project-specific codes, standards, and specifications. The inspector will plan, inspect, document, and organize tasks to enhance efficiency on the project site. The QC Inspector will evaluate ongoing electrical work to ensure alignment with both company and client expectations and address any identified issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend project scope and quality requirements, contract documents, site drawings, manufacturer product data/manuals, and company quality standards; ensure project execution aligns with these elements.
  • Schedule, conduct, and assess various site inspections, quality monitoring, and surveillance of daily and upcoming work.
  • Develop inspection and testing plans; document testing, measurements, inspection reports, and other quality-related documentation; maintain essential quality-related files and compile necessary documents for project turnover.
  • Identify and report instances of non-conforming work, track them on a non-conformance log, and assist in generating related reports.
  • Oversee the creation and review of daily construction reports, field observation reports, punch lists, quality reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Stay informed about federal, industry, and company standards; educate project teams on compliance requirements and changes.
  • Collaborate with the project safety team to identify hazards and develop processes to mitigate or eliminate risks.
  • Ensure that inspections, observations, and punch lists are accurately documented and stored.
  • Monitor adherence to the company quality plan and standards on the project site, suggesting updates or modifications to management as necessary.
  • Utilize virtual and physical mock-ups to establish quality benchmarks and identify lean processes to enhance field productivity.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Electrical background with prior experience in a quality control role is essential.
    • OSHA certification is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient understanding of construction standards, codes of practice, and regulations related to electrical work.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
    • A strong desire to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
    • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Technology:
    • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to learn job-specific software upon hire.
