About the Role

Scheels is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Fishing Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting our products, and driving sales growth in the fishing department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our fishing products, including features, benefits, and technical specifications.
  • Assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions, providing expert advice and recommendations.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth in the fishing department.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring a visually appealing and engaging shopping environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and support the overall success of the store.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 months of sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
