About the Opportunity: The Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability is seeking a highly motivated researcher with a background in finance or economics to lead multidisciplinary teams in academia, across different faculties or schools, and in industry, across different functions of the business. As a Sustainability Researcher, you will investigate various approaches to climate risk management, including insurance, financial markets, and policy. You will help design market engagement activities, including invitation-only workshops, guest speakers, and educational forums.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams in academia, across different faculties or schools, and in industry, across different functions of the business.
- Help design market engagement activities, including invitation-only workshops, guest speakers, and educational forums.
- Establish trust and credibility with public and private investors and other key stakeholders.
Requirements: To be successful in this position, you will need:
- A graduate degree in an applicable social science-related field and five years of applicable experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience in an applicable social science.
- Expert-level knowledge and skills in the field of science related to the research project.
- General computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and master computer programs.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent judgment.
- Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.
- Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
What We Offer: We offer a competitive salary range of $93,062 to $111,670 per annum, commensurate with experience. At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
