Climate Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Climate Risk Management Specialist to join our team at the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability. As a key member of the Sustainability Finance Initiative, you will play a crucial role in investigating and assessing various approaches to climate risk management. Your expertise will be applied to researching and analyzing insurance, financial markets, and policy, focusing on areas such as wildfire risk management models and methods, carbon offset viability, and novel approaches to climate risk transfer and management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced researcher to contribute to cutting-edge research and make a meaningful impact in the field of environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance or economics, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work under deadlines with general guidance. A graduate degree and five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
