POSITION SUMMARY:
This role entails engaging in negotiations with suppliers, focusing on reviewing terms and conditions, setting pricing, formulating contracts, and managing supplier relationships that impact our division.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct precise and timely negotiations with local suppliers based on established category selection criteria, including cost, quality, productivity, and service.
  • Oversee supplier performance within the division, ensuring compliance with agreements and scopes.
  • Manage and execute contract agreements in alignment with sourcing guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with various teams, including Product, Area Construction Managers, and Sales.
  • Maintain and manage supplier relationships, addressing any issues or conflicts that arise in daily operations.
  • Utilize databases to develop accurate cost and quantity estimates for residential products.
  • Analyze Trade Partner data submissions and assess the impact of commodity fluctuations.
  • Communicate completed estimates to construction personnel and trade subcontractors.
  • Develop optimization solutions for materials and labor using Value Engineering methodologies.
  • Implement division-specific tools and methodologies for estimating and controlling trade category costs.
  • Ensure compliance with Pulte construction standards, local, state, and national building codes, and safety regulations.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required, with ISCM accreditation preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years of related functional experience is necessary, including a minimum of 6 months to 1 year in a procurement role. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of the financial implications of purchasing costs, along with purchasing and supply chain experience.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $82,500 - $113,450 annually, with eligibility for an annual incentive.
